Here’s a classic Chicken Parmesan recipe 🍗🧀🍅

- 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1–2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style or plain)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
For assembly
- 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prep chicken
- Flatten chicken breasts to even thickness (~½ inch) using a meat mallet.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bread chicken
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
- Cook chicken
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown (it doesn’t need to be fully cooked through, it will finish in the oven).
- Assemble
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place chicken in a baking dish.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each piece.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake
Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, and chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). - Serve
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve with pasta or a side salad.
Tips
- Use fresh mozzarella for extra creaminess.
- For a crispier chicken, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Can add garlic powder or Italian seasoning to breadcrumbs for more flavor.
I can also give a crockpot version, air fryer version, or lighter baked version.
