Steak and eggs

Here’s a classic Steak and Eggs breakfast or brunch 🥩🍳

Ingredients (serves 1–2)

  • 1–2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice), about 8 oz each
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 2–4 eggs
  • Optional sides: toast, hash browns, or sautéed vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prep steak
    Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook steak
    • Skillet: Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
      Cook steak 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).
    • Rest: Remove steak and let it rest 5 minutes.
  3. Cook eggs
    In the same skillet, cook eggs your preferred way:

    • Sunny side up: 2–3 minutes until whites set
    • Over easy/medium: 1–2 minutes flip
  4. Serve
    Plate steak with eggs on the side. Add toast, potatoes, or veggies if desired.

Tips

  • Let steak rest to keep it juicy.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet for best sear.
  • Optional: drizzle eggs with a little hot sauce or sprinkle herbs like parsley or chives.
