Here’s a classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich 🥪🧀—crispy, melty, and comfort-food perfection:


Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite melting cheese)
  • 1–2 tsp butter, softened

Instructions

1. Prep the bread

  • Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

2. Assemble

  • Place the cheese slices between the unbuttered sides of the bread so the buttered sides face out.

3. Cook

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook 2–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  3. Press gently with a spatula for even grilling.

4. Serve

  • Slice in half and serve hot. Optional: add tomato slices, ham, or bacon for variation.

💡 Tips

  • Use medium heat—too high will burn the bread before the cheese melts.
  • Cover the pan with a lid for a minute to help the cheese melt faster.
  • For extra flavor, try mixing cheeses (cheddar + mozzarella works wonderfully).
