Instructions

  1. Prepare tofu:
    • Drain and press tofu for 15–20 minutes to remove excess water.
    • Cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Combine ingredients:
    • In the slow cooker, add tofu, vegetables, soy sauce, hoisin/teriyaki, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes.
    • Toss gently to coat tofu evenly.
  3. Cook:
    • Low setting: 3–4 hours
    • High setting: 1½–2 hours
    • Avoid stirring too much, or tofu may break apart.
  4. Optional thickening:
    • If you want a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch mixture 15–20 minutes before serving and cook until sauce thickens.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve tofu and vegetables over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
