Parmesan Mushrooms

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 16 oz mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or thyme

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
    400°F (200°C). Lightly grease or line a baking dish or sheet pan.
  2. Season mushrooms:
    In a bowl, toss mushrooms with olive oil (or butter), garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Bake:
    Spread mushrooms in a single layer. Bake 15 minutes.
  4. Add Parmesan:
    Remove from oven, sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Finish baking:
    Return to oven and bake another 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Serve:
    Garnish with parsley or thyme. Serve hot.

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan or mushrooms will steam instead of roast.
