🥩 Cutlets (Crispy & Tender Meat Patties)
Cutlets are breaded, pan-fried or baked patties made from meat, vegetables, or a mixture—crispy outside, juicy inside.
Ingredients (4 servings, 8–10 cutlets)
For the filling:

- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp herbs (parsley, thyme, or oregano)
- Optional: ½ cup grated cheese
For coating:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1–2 cups breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare filling:
- In a bowl, mix ground meat or vegetables with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Shape mixture into oval or round patties.
- Coat cutlets:
- Dredge each cutlet in flour → dip in beaten eggs → coat with breadcrumbs.
- Cook cutlets:
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry cutlets 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with dipping sauce, mashed potatoes, or salad.
Tips
- For extra crisp, double-coat with egg and breadcrumbs.
- Can bake at 200°C / 400°F for 15–20 minutes for a healthier version.
- Add spices like paprika or chili powder to breadcrumbs for more flavor.
