Yes! I can give you a beginner-friendly Cajun recipe that’s easy to make at home. Here’s one for Cajun Shrimp Pasta—spicy, creamy, and full of flavor:

Cajun Shrimp Pasta (Serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 250 g (8–9 oz) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 400 g (1 lb) shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta:
    • Boil pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook shrimp:
    • Toss shrimp with paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a pan, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Make sauce:
    • In the same pan, add butter, onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until soft.
    • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
    • Pour in heavy cream, sprinkle in Parmesan, and stir until creamy.
    • Season with extra Cajun spices if desired.
  4. Combine:
    • Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Tips

  • Adjust cayenne to make it milder or spicier.
  • Serve with garlic bread for a full meal.
  • You can swap shrimp for chicken or mix in vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini.

If you want, I can also give a simple one-pot Cajun jambalaya that’s beginner-friendly and super hearty. Do you want that too?
