Here’s a simple, comforting potato casserole with cream of chicken soup—rich, creamy, and perfect as a side or main dish.


🥔 Creamy Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4–5 medium potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / ~300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1–1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar works great)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the sauce
    In a bowl, mix:

    • Cream of chicken soup
    • Milk
    • Salt, pepper, and optional spices
  3. Layer the casserole
    • Grease a baking dish
    • Add a layer of sliced potatoes
    • Sprinkle some onion and cheese
    • Pour a bit of sauce
    • Repeat layers until everything is used (finish with sauce and cheese on top)
  4. Add butter
    Dot small pieces of butter on top for extra richness.
  5. Bake
    • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes
    • Remove foil and bake another 20–30 minutes until golden and potatoes are tender
  6. Rest & serve
    Let it sit for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Optional Add-ins

  • Cooked chicken (to make it a full meal)
  • Mushrooms or peas
  • Crispy fried onions or breadcrumbs on top for crunch
