🥞 Classic Homemade Pancakes

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional but recommended)

  1. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    In another bowl, beat the egg, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Combine
    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Mix gently—don’t overmix (a few lumps are okay).
  4. Cook pancakes
    Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
    Lightly grease it, then pour about ¼ cup batter for each pancake.
  5. Flip
    Cook until bubbles form on top (about 1–2 minutes), then flip and cook another minute until golden.
  6. Serve warm
    Stack them up and serve with your favorite toppings!
