Amish Cinnamon Bread is a soft, sweet, no-yeast quick bread with a buttery cinnamon-sugar swirl—kind of like a cross between cake and bread. It’s super easy and perfect with tea ☕


🍞 Amish Cinnamon Bread (No Yeast)

Ingredients:

Batter:

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda

Cinnamon sugar mix:

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease 2 loaf pans.
  2. Mix butter, sugar, and eggs until creamy.
  3. Add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda—mix well.
  4. Pour half the batter into pans.
  5. Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mix.
  6. Add remaining batter, then top with the rest of cinnamon sugar.
  7. Swirl lightly with a knife.
  8. Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Don’t over-swirl—you want visible cinnamon layers
  • Let it cool before slicing for clean pieces
  • Tastes even better the next day

  • Add chopped nuts or raisins
  • Make muffins instead (bake ~20–25 min)
