Here’s a simple, hearty ground beef and potato skillet meal you can make in one pan:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 3–4 medium potatoes, diced small
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper (optional), chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Β½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or coriander (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the potatoes
    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
  2. Brown the beef
    In the same pan, add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add aromatics
    Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.
  4. Season it up
    Stir in paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Combine everything
    Return the potatoes to the skillet. Mix well and cook another 3–5 minutes so flavors combine.
  6. Garnish & serve
    Sprinkle with fresh herbs if you like. Serve hot.
