Dream Cake

Dream Cake is a rich, indulgent chocolate dessert that became super popular for its soft sponge base and thick, creamy chocolate topping—almost like a cross between cake and pudding.


🍫 What makes it special

  • Ultra-moist chocolate sponge
  • Soaked with milk or chocolate syrup
  • Topped with silky chocolate ganache
  • Often finished with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings

🧁 Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla

For soaking:

  • 1 cup milk (or chocolate milk)

For the topping:

  • 200g chocolate
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)

🍳 Instructions

  1. Bake the cake
    Mix all cake ingredients until smooth. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes.
  2. Soak it
    While warm, poke holes in the cake and pour milk over it so it absorbs and becomes extra soft.
  3. Make ganache
    Heat cream and pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  4. Assemble
    Pour the ganache over the cake and spread evenly.
  5. Chill & serve
    Let it set in the fridge for 1–2 hours. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

  • Use dark chocolate for a richer taste
  • Add a layer of cream for extra indulgence
  • Serve chilled for the best texture
