Here’s an easy recipe for a classic apple cake that’s soft, flavorful, and perfect for dessert or snack time.


Ingredients (8 servings)

  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, chopped)
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup oil or melted butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts or raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 180°C / 350°F. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: Flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat eggs with sugar. Add oil, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Combine: Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Add apples: Fold in chopped apples (and nuts/raisins if using).
  6. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake 35–45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool & serve: Let cool slightly before slicing.

Tips

  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top before baking for a caramelized crust.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
  • You can also use grated apple for a softer texture.
