Crockpot turkey wings

Crockpot Turkey Wings are tender, flavorful, and very easy to make. Slow cooking allows the wings to become juicy and fall-off-the-bone soft. 🍗


Crockpot Turkey Wings

Ingredients

  • 2–3 pounds turkey wings
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings
    • Rinse and pat dry the turkey wings.
    • Rub them with olive oil and all the seasonings.
  2. Add to Crockpot
    • Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
    • Put the seasoned turkey wings on top.
  3. Add Liquid
    • Pour chicken broth around the wings (not directly on top to keep seasoning in place).
  4. Cook
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
    • Wings are ready when very tender.
  5. Optional Crispy Finish
    • Place cooked wings on a baking sheet and broil in the oven 5–7 minutes to brown the skin.

Optional Gravy

  1. Pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan.
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water.
  3. Stir into the broth and cook until thickened.

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Rice
  • Collard greens
  • Cornbread

💡 Tip: Adding bell peppers, celery, or mushrooms to the crockpot can give the turkey wings extra flavor.
