Peach Cobbler

Posted on March 15, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic Peach Cobbler recipe—warm, sweet, and perfect for any dessert table. 🍑

Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 6–8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced (or 4 cups canned/frozen peaches, drained)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker filling)

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Prepare the Filling

  1. In a bowl, mix peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
  2. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

3. Prepare the Topping

  1. In another bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.

5. Serve

  • Let cool slightly.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

💡 Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of almond extract to the topping.
  • Fresh peaches give the best flavor, but canned peaches work well when out of season.
  • The topping can be made crumblier by using half butter, half shortening.

I can also give you a quick stovetop version of peach cobbler that’s ready in 20 minutes if you want a faster dessert.
