Slow cooker country style ribs

Slow Cooker Country-Style Ribs are one of the easiest comfort meals you can make—very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. 🍖🔥 The slow cooker does almost all the work.


Ingredients

  • 1.5–2 kg country-style pork ribs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup water or broth

Instructions

1️⃣ Season the ribs

Rub ribs with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

2️⃣ Layer the slow cooker

  • Put sliced onions on the bottom.
  • Place ribs on top.

3️⃣ Add the sauce

In a bowl mix:

  • BBQ sauce
  • brown sugar
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • water/broth

Pour over the ribs.

4️⃣ Slow cook

  • Low: 7–8 hours
  • High: 4–5 hours

The ribs are ready when they are very tender and almost falling apart.


Optional (restaurant-style finish) ✨

For caramelized ribs:

  1. Remove ribs from slow cooker.
  2. Brush with extra BBQ sauce.
  3. Broil in oven 5 minutes until slightly sticky and browned.

Sear the ribs in a hot pan for 2 minutes per side before slow cooking. This adds deeper flavor.
