🥠Mango Carlota (Easy No-Bake Dessert)
A classic Mexican layered dessert with mangoes and cookies. Sweet, creamy, and fruity!
Ingredients (8–10 servings)
- 2 ripe mangoes (pureed)
- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
- 1 package marie biscuits or graham crackers
- Optional: lime zest or juice for extra tang
Instructions
- Puree Mangoes: Peel and chop mangoes, then blend until smooth.
- Make Cream Mixture: In a bowl, mix mango puree, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped cream until smooth. Add lime juice/zest if using.
- Layer:
- Line the bottom of a rectangular dish with biscuits.
- Spread a layer of mango-cream mixture.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are finished (finish with cream on top).
- Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until set.
- Serve: Slice like a cake and garnish with extra mango slices or crushed biscuits.
Tips
- Dip biscuits quickly in milk or mango juice if you want softer layers.
- Can substitute heavy cream with whipped coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
If you want, I can also give a super creamy, ultra-mango version that tastes like a mango mousse cake! Do you want me to do that?
