Mango Carlota

🥭 Mango Carlota (Easy No-Bake Dessert)

A classic Mexican layered dessert with mangoes and cookies. Sweet, creamy, and fruity!


Ingredients (8–10 servings)

  • 2 ripe mangoes (pureed)
  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 1 package marie biscuits or graham crackers
  • Optional: lime zest or juice for extra tang

Instructions

  1. Puree Mangoes: Peel and chop mangoes, then blend until smooth.
  2. Make Cream Mixture: In a bowl, mix mango puree, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped cream until smooth. Add lime juice/zest if using.
  3. Layer:
    • Line the bottom of a rectangular dish with biscuits.
    • Spread a layer of mango-cream mixture.
    • Repeat layers until ingredients are finished (finish with cream on top).
  4. Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until set.
  5. Serve: Slice like a cake and garnish with extra mango slices or crushed biscuits.

Tips

  • Dip biscuits quickly in milk or mango juice if you want softer layers.
  • Can substitute heavy cream with whipped coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
