Simple Garlic Fried Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3–4 potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or green onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes
    Peel the potatoes (optional) and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Boil briefly
    Put the potatoes in boiling salted water for 5–7 minutes until slightly soft. Drain.
  3. Heat the pan
    Heat oil or butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the potatoes
    Add potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and crispy.
  5. Add garlic
    Add chopped garlic during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Season and serve
    Add salt, pepper, and sprinkle parsley or green onion on top.
