🍗 Chicken Foil Packets are an easy, customizable, and mess-free way to cook a full meal in one packet. They’re perfect for oven baking, grilling, or campfires, and you can include vegetables, seasonings, and sauces all in one foil pouch.


🧾 Ingredients (Basic Version)

  • 2 chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1–2 cups vegetables (e.g., broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini, carrots, or potatoes)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon slices, fresh herbs, or your favorite sauce (BBQ, teriyaki, or ranch)

  1. Preheat Oven or Grill
    • Oven: 400°F (200°C)
    • Grill: Medium heat
  2. Prepare Foil Packets
    • Tear large sheets of aluminum foil (enough to fold over and seal).
    • Place chicken in the center, drizzle with olive oil, and season with garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Add vegetables around the chicken.
    • Add optional sauce or lemon slices for extra flavor.
  3. Seal Packets
    • Fold the foil over the ingredients and seal edges tightly to prevent steam from escaping.
  4. Cook
    • Oven: Bake for 25–30 minutes (depending on chicken thickness)
    • Grill: Cook 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway through
  5. Serve
    • Carefully open foil (steam will escape).
    • Serve straight from the foil or transfer to plates.

  • Use similar cooking times for chicken and vegetables. For quicker-cooking veggies (like zucchini), add them halfway through.
  • Add a splash of broth, wine, or sauce inside the packet for extra moisture.
