Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
- 2–3 lbs (900 g–1.3 kg) chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, or drumsticks)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth (or water with 1 tsp bouillon)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
- Optional: 1/2 cup diced carrots, celery, or potatoes
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep ingredients
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Layer onions, garlic, and optional vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker.
2️⃣ Add chicken & liquid
- Place chicken on top of vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth over everything.
3️⃣ Cook
- Low setting: 6–7 hours
- High setting: 3–4 hours
- Chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C) and is tender.
