Lemon chicken

Here’s a simple and flavorful Lemon Chicken recipe—tangy, juicy, and perfect for a quick dinner 🍋🍗


Lemon Chicken

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 1–2 lemons)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep chicken
    • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook chicken
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make lemon sauce
    • Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
    • Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits.
    • Stir in lemon zest and simmer 2–3 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and whisk in butter until smooth.
  4. Combine & serve
    • Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it.
    • Garnish with parsley and serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra flavor: Marinate chicken in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Crispier chicken: Dredge chicken lightly in flour before cooking.
  • Creamy version: Add ¼ cup heavy cream to the sauce.
  • Herbs: Thyme or rosemary pairs beautifully with lemon.
