Instructions
- Prepare the Cream:
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Fold in mascarpone and vanilla gently until smooth.
- Soak Ladyfingers:
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger in mandarin juice (and liqueur if using).
- Donβt soak too long β they should be moist but not soggy.
- Layer the Dessert:
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of mandarin orange segments.
- Repeat: ladyfingers β remaining cream β remaining fruit.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld and layers to set.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle with grated white chocolate or orange zest just before serving.
