Here’s a classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies recipe—soft, chewy, and full of cozy flavor 🍪

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients (makes about 24 cookies)

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter & sugars
    • Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients
    • Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  4. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Combine
    • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
    • Stir in oats and raisins.
  6. Bake
    • Scoop dough onto baking sheets (about 1½ tbsp per cookie).
    • Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool & serve
    • Let cookies cool on the pan 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra chewy: Slightly underbake and let set on the pan.
  • Plump raisins: Soak raisins in warm water 10 minutes, then drain before adding.
  • Add-ins: Chopped walnuts, pecans, or chocolate chips.
  • Healthier swap: Replace half the flour with whole wheat flour.

If you want, I can also share a soft bakery-style version, a crisp oatmeal cookie, or a no-chill quick recipe.
