Here’s a simple and classic Rice Krispies Treats recipe—crispy, sweet, and super easy to make 🍚✨


Rice Krispies Treats

Ingredients (makes a 9×13-inch pan)

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 10 oz marshmallows (about 40 large or 4 cups mini)
  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract, chocolate drizzle, or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare pan
    • Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter & marshmallows
    • In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
    • Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
    • Optional: stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Mix with cereal
    • Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer to pan
    • Press mixture into prepared pan using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
    • Don’t press too hard—light and fluffy is best.
  5. Cool & cut
    • Let cool about 30 minutes, then cut into squares.

Tips & Variations

  • Chocolate Rice Krispies: Stir in ½ cup chocolate chips while warm.
  • Peanut butter twist: Add ½ cup peanut butter to melted marshmallows.
  • Mini treats: Use mini muffin tins for individual portions.
  • Fun toppings: Drizzle with melted chocolate, add sprinkles, or press in mini candies.
