Cheesy breadsticks

Here’s a simple and delicious Cheesy Breadsticks recipe—soft, warm, and loaded with gooey cheese 🧀🥖


Cheesy Breadsticks

Ingredients (makes 8–10 breadsticks)

  • 1 batch pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, ~1 lb)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Optional: grated Parmesan for topping
  • Optional: marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dough
    • Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle about ½-inch thick.
    • Brush melted butter over the top.
  3. Add cheese & seasoning
    • Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the dough.
    • Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Optional: sprinkle some Parmesan on top.
  4. Cut breadsticks
    • Slice dough into 1-inch wide strips.
    • Twist slightly or leave straight, depending on preference.
  5. Bake
    • Place breadsticks on prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve
    • Serve warm with marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Mix mozzarella with cheddar or provolone.
  • Garlic lovers: Brush with garlic butter before serving.
  • Crispy edges: Brush edges with olive oil before baking.
  • Herb twist: Sprinkle fresh parsley or basil after baking.
  • Make ahead: Prepare, refrigerate, and bake later; just add a few extra minutes to bake.
